The Doorway to the American Rail Road

This is the center door of the Rogers Locomotive & Metal Works c. 1871. The majority of United States Locomotives were manufactored in Paterson, NJ from 1860s to the 1920s. Once completed these huge engines rolled out through these large doors and onto the nations railroads.
